From the back cover: Mary had fought cancer for over four years and had survived major surgery five times. December, 1971, she became progressively worse and again entered the hospital. The diagnosis: another brain tumor. The doctor told her that she had only a few days to live. When Sunday came, Mary expressed the desire to go to church, the church where she had been the church organist before her illness. With legs partially paralyzed, one side of her face partially paralyzed, and her vision impaired extensively, she went to church and sang her last testimony, "Because He Lives."

J. D. is J. D. Jarvis, an artist who worked out of Hamilton, Ohio and recorded locally on this label, Queen City Album and other local labels such as Jewel and Rite. Jarvis also worked as a session musician backing many local gospel acts during this same period.

Jarvis was prolific, by local standards, and made some of the better gospel music in the area.

On this album, Jarvis splits creative efforts between himself and some of his friends.

The engineering on this record, for a local period recording, is very good.

While Eternal Ages Roll
The Kelly Family
Sun-Ray Records
SR 1009 LP
1976

From the back cover: The Kelly Family consist of, Nathan, Simon, Christine and Karlyn. The Kelly Family may be new to you, however, they are still known by country enthusiasts. When Christine Kelly was 16 years of age, she and her husband, Nathan J. Kelly and his three teen-age brothers started playing music and singing to entertain others, over the Hazard, Kentucky Radio Broadcast Station.

Their unique Blue Grass, Country Style Music caught on fast. Soon they were performing over three Radio Broadcast Stations at Knoxville, Tenn. During this time they made live appearances on stages with well known artists of the Grand Old Opera such as Chet Atkins, Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs, Cotton Gaylon, Archie Campbell, The Carter Family and many others. They entertained others in Nashville, Tenn. at the Grand Old Opera until 1950. Christine became home-sick for Kentucky. On their way home they stopped over in Lexington, Kentucky. They started a new program entertaining over WLEX, WLAP and WVLK Radio Broadcast Stations. This lasted for five years. Nathan and his brother Simon acquired a top job working for our U.S. Government and took the Kelly Family into a long retirement.

Since resuming country entertainment, The Kelly Family have appeared on TV and Radio programs. This group is recognized as one of the first to promote the Blue Grass Style Music. The Library Of Congress, of the United States did select this group of honorable singers to record an album entitled. The Early Days Of Blue Grass, This was recorded and produced by them.

Christine Kelly wrote most of the songs on this album. Jimmy Price Music Publisher of Lexington, Kentucky seems to have been promoter of this album and the Kelly Family at this time, holding rights to all of the song titles, selling sheet music and writing the jacket notes.

Rite Records of Cincinnati, Ohio produced and printed the jacket.

King Jesus Will Roll All Burdens Away
Molly O'Day Sings Again
REM Records - Lexington, Kentucky
REM LP 1001

The Living Legend Of Country Music
Molly O'Day
With Her Own 5-String Banjo Accompaniment
Producer: Bob Mooney
Album Jacket: Dan Quest and Suzanne Mathis
Starday SLP 367
1966

From the back cover of SLP 367: Molly O'Day helped make a lot of Country Music history a few years ago when she was perhaps the most popular Country girl singer of the time. She had a long string of hits including Thirty Pieces Of Silver, Tramp On The Street, Matthew Twenty-Four, At The First Fall Of Snow, and many others too numerous to mention. She built up a fabulous and devoted following of Country Music fans who appreciated the authenticity and the ringing sincerity of her style.

When her Country Music singing career was at its peak, she suffered a serious illness. Only her faith enabled her to make a recovery. It was this faith that made her prefer more than ever to devote her talent and her singing to inspirational and gospel songs.

Molly and her husband, Reverend Lynn Davis, now carry the gospel throughout the country in sermon and song. Recently, through the efforts of producer Bob Mooney of Lexington, Kentucky, Molly O'Day was encouraged to make some and this album because they will recognize that Molly has lost none of her picking' and singing' ability.

Molly O'Day come by her talent very naturally in the mountains of Kentucky where, as a girl, Molly developed her tremendous ability to sing Country and sacred songs. Now, in the service of the Lord, Molly continues to sing from her heart. In so doing, she has reached the hearts of millions of others. – Dan Pierce, Pres. - Starday Records
