From the back cover of SLP 367: Molly O'Day helped make a lot of Country Music history a few years ago when she was perhaps the most popular Country girl singer of the time. She had a long string of hits including Thirty Pieces Of Silver, Tramp On The Street, Matthew Twenty-Four, At The First Fall Of Snow, and many others too numerous to mention. She built up a fabulous and devoted following of Country Music fans who appreciated the authenticity and the ringing sincerity of her style.

When her Country Music singing career was at its peak, she suffered a serious illness. Only her faith enabled her to make a recovery. It was this faith that made her prefer more than ever to devote her talent and her singing to inspirational and gospel songs.

Molly and her husband, Reverend Lynn Davis, now carry the gospel throughout the country in sermon and song. Recently, through the efforts of producer Bob Mooney of Lexington, Kentucky, Molly O'Day was encouraged to make some and this album because they will recognize that Molly has lost none of her picking' and singing' ability.

Molly O'Day come by her talent very naturally in the mountains of Kentucky where, as a girl, Molly developed her tremendous ability to sing Country and sacred songs. Now, in the service of the Lord, Molly continues to sing from her heart. In so doing, she has reached the hearts of millions of others. – Dan Pierce, Pres. - Starday Records
