Let Us Break Bread Together
Robert Gazaway And The Gopel Larks
Rite Records - Cincinnati, Ohio
Sides #31935 & 31936
Give God The Credit (Robert Gazaway)
This blog features Vintage Gospel Albums, the majority of which were recorded in the 1970's. Many of the LPs featured here were created by Cincinnati, Ohio area artists on private press recording and production labels such as Jewel, Rite and QCA (Queen City Album). Here you will find the Good, Bad & Ugly but never The Lackluster! I'm here to have fun and hope you will share in my process of discovery!
Thanks Mark.
ReplyDeleteThe group had at least another LP released : "A Personal Experience With Christ" on Grace Note, a Louisville, KY label.
My father is Cecil Ferrell 😊 He wrote and sang on this album
DeleteThank you. I just found a copy of that album in the stack and will try to feature it soon. Also check this post for a new link to another Gazaway project.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this. Dr. Robert Gazaway was the Minister of Music at my church when I was a child. My mother sang under him many years. Then I didn't know of his records but currently I am looking find a copy to buy for my mother. We love him dearly.
ReplyDeleteHey there. Long shot here as this thread is super old, but I wonder if you ever came across that other LP which was released on the Grace Label. I'm working on compiling all of the gospel music from the vinyl era from Louisville KY and I'd love to have a digital file of that record. (the group is from Northern KY but the label was from here in Louisville.) I work for a small nonprofit and we're going to release a 3CD box set of Louisville Gospel. Would love to feature a song from the Grace release. Please let me know at joe@louisvillestoryprogram.org if you're able to help! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHello, my father Cecil Ferrell sang in this group and also wrote a couple of songs on this album
