  1. Wanda Baker lives in Somerset, KY. Don Baker passed away about 7 years ago after a long battle with heart disease. His brother, Joe Baker and Joe`s wife Juanita still live in Cincinnati, for many years Joe and Juanita were neighbors to Jesse Hutson from the Little Country Trio. Don and Wanda`s son, Don Jr. (known as Donnie) married Donna Jeffers daughter of Loman and Norma Jeffers from The Little Country Trio.

Don and Wanda`s children carry on the family tradition of singing gospel.

I remember this record in my parents` collection of gospel albums. I hadn`t seen it in years. Thank you for posting this.

  2. This is Donnie Baker the oldest son of Don and Wanda Baker.

You might want to check the address because this is not the house where we lived! 4551 Leslie Avenue is where I grew up during the time this album was made.

My dad, Don Baker passed away on April 29, 2006; almost six years now. Though he had heart trouble, he actually died due to complications from surgery. He had an abdominal catastrophe (he bled out).

Also, Coy was not a Baker. His last name is Barber. Coy has also moved back to the Somerset area (Poplarville, Ky). Original Baker Qt members Don, Wanda, and Coy with the addition of Brenda Durham singing alto had reunited the group and began actively singing again before my dad suddenly passed away.

  3. This is Kandy Hugenberg, formerly Kandy Laub. My grandmother was Margaret Evelyn Baker and grandpa, Rev. Eugene Baker. Donnie is my cousin by grandma's marriage to Eugene Baker... would love to find any info or album info on the gospel singing group/s the had as well. I remembering one as the "Queen City Crusader's" (?) I remember all this so fondly!
