This blog features Vintage Gospel Albums, the majority of which were recorded in the 1970's. Many of the LPs featured here were created by Cincinnati, Ohio area artists on private press recording and production labels such as Jewel, Rite and QCA (Queen City Album). Here you will find the Good, Bad & Ugly but never The Lackluster! I'm here to have fun and hope you will share in my process of discovery!

Special Delivery - Yo Yo Collins
Special Delivery
Yo Yo Collins
Private press. The artist was working out of Salina, OK. Collins is still active.
I recently purchased this album at a thrift shop in Tahlequah, OK because I liked the cover so much. I don't own a record player so cant speak to the quality of the music.
I love every song this man ever sings. He has a gift and has touched many churches. I still have this tape, thanks to my mother, who is with the Lord now. If you ask me, he sings God bless the USA better than Lee Greenwood. I wish I had all of his albums, but I only have a few.
Great album cover concept!
ReplyDeletewhere can a person purchase Yoyo Collins music or does he still go to churches? can i get a schedule
