Brother McQueen And The Queens - God Is Not Dead At My House

I Found A Man I Can Talk To
Sleeping Disciples
Brother McQueen And The Queens
God's Not Dead At My House
Melody Sound Studio/Records, Hamilton, Ohio
MSLP-60

This set features songs written by Cager McQueen of DeMossville, Kentucky. DeMossville is a village found about 6 miles down the road from me.

The "Queens" steal the spotlight on this record. McQueen steps aside and lets the girls do most of the vocal chores. The song, I Found A Man I Can Talk To was written by McQueen's daughter, Marie. Sleeping Disciples was written by Theresa Rose, whose photo appears on the back cover. This is a spirited and delightful recording.

  1. I came across your site by accident and was taken by surprise. The McQueens lived about one quarter mile away from us in Demossville. I contacted one of the sisters and told her about your site and she said that her daddy would be happy that his albums were still being heard. I hope you continue your hard work and efforts to keep this site available to the world! Thanks, Jeannie H. Demossville, KY

    1. Hi Jeannie! Thank you for you kind words. We are neighbors. I live just up the road in Ryland. I love finding and sharing these vintage and local pressings. Mark
