It's rare that I can find a date on an LP, but in this case, Doane actually mentions the date of the recording: Oct. 8, 1979.
The record is a fine country gospel recording. Doane wrote four tracks including the one I posted as a sample.
Thank you for posting this. Bill Doane was my uncle and we always enjoyed his singing, playing and preaching. He's been gone since 2009. I was inspired to search for this album (which I own) and find the track "Repent...and be Baptized", but I found your blog and "He Has Risen" instead. Wonderful to hear again. Thank you again for helping me fondly remember my uncle.
