This blog features Vintage Gospel Albums, the majority of which were recorded in the 1970's. Many of the LPs featured here were created by Cincinnati, Ohio area artists on private press recording and production labels such as Jewel, Rite and QCA (Queen City Album). Here you will find the Good, Bad & Ugly but never The Lackluster! I'm here to have fun and hope you will share in my process of discovery!

My name is Thomas Blair. My father was Homer Blair, who sang lead in The Pilgrims. He passed away last year. In fact everyone who was in The Pilgrims have now left us. I suggest you find a copy of their first album Walking By Faith. It is my favorite. In fact I consider Beyond the Sunset one of my least favorite, although all six of their albums hold a special place in my heart. Thanx for the mention though
Hi Mark! Any chance this album you have has How Tedious and Tasteless on it? My great grandparents were in this group and we are trying to track down that song :-)

Thank you for your comment Steve. Finding albums like this is so random and by chance that I never know what I stumble across next. Mark

ReplyDeleteThank for your comment. This album, from the track list, does not appear to feature that tune. – Mark
