From the back cover: It was out privilege to sing for the protestant pavillion of the 1965 New York World's Fair, and more recently we appeared with the choral ensemble in a sacred musical by Duke Ellington and his band.
The notes were printed on a sheet of paper found fixed to the back cover with tape.

ReplyDeleteI knew the women of the Cathie Trio: Shirley and her sister Bunnie (Carolyn) and their mother who sang and played the piano. They were terrific in concert. I lost my copy of this album about 30 years ago and wish I could retrieve it. Anyone know of a copy to purchase? I sold an old stereo and it and several other albums were in the storage end. It was moved before I knew what was happening to it.
ReplyDeleteThere is one for sale on eBay right now! Also, another of theirs is for sale, from the same seller. Here are links to both of them:

Oh I wish you would have put something on with the entire trio singing.Sunshine Train, At the Cross. Any of them. This song you have on was fine but only one voice. Either Bunny or their mom. Their harmony was very good.
