    1. It's hard to say... you almost have to stumble across them on ebay or in a record store.

    2. You can leave a message at New Haven Baptist Church and ask for Amanda Caddell. If no one answers, leave a message and let her know you want a copy of the Bridges Quartet albums. She created CDs of the old albums. I am Jim Payne's (guitarist for the Bridges) daughter. 513-531-6186

  2. I play for a well known gospel group, and we recently played up in Carlisle Ohio about 2 weeks ago. We had a meal at a families house and spent some time visiting. They had a record player set up, and the first record I saw was of the Bridges Quartet. I played it and was immediately in tears! It was absolutely the BEST record I have heard in a long time! The name of the album was "Lord, It's just another Hill". I had that family make me a cassette of that record to preserve it. They also later found 2 more Bridges albums, copied them, and mailed them to me (Kentucky). The names of those albums where "God Walks The Dark Hills" (the best version I've ever heard!) and "The Prettiest Flowers (will be blooming)". They are both excelent. In the past 2 weeks, I have purchased 2 more Bridges Quartet albums on Ebay. One was "On the other side of Jordan" (which has already been blogged on here) and The other was called "Sometimes a Mountain". This group must have been in the studio quite a bit! I would love to find out more information about these people if possible! Thanks!

    1. The Bridges Quartet would meet every week and pray for my dad Russell Jones. (He was an alcoholic). In 1976 he and my mother visited New Haven Missionary Baptist Church and my dad was saved. A few years after getting saved, dad was called to preach. He has been preaching for over 30 years and many lives have been changed all because of a group singers carred enough to pray for him. Thank you all for your prayers. Where would we be now had it not been for the prayers of our dear friends. Love, Carol Jones-Brock

  3. The Bridges Quartet are my cousin's and I will have to say the Best of the Best. I have all the album's now on cd's and listen to them very often. I live in Georgia and they all live in Ohio so I have not seen them since my Dad passed away in 1990. They drove all the way to Cleveland ,Tn to sing at my Daddy's funeral. I talk to Dale Bridges on the phone often.I love them all very much and is very proud to be able to call them my family.

  4. I go to church with Dale, Scott, Jim, Wesley And Ronda of the Bridges Quartet. Scott and Ronda still sing together. Dale does resitations. Love these people and count it an honor to worship with them. Gerald Parks who sang base with them for awhile also is a member of New Haven. Henrietta lives in Tenn. We do have all their albums on CD's if u would be interested in ordering them. Call Amanda at 513-531-6186. That's the church #.

    1. So glad to hear that they all were together as of a few years ago. I met them in the 70's when they started singing in Harmony Freewill Baptist Church in Middle River, MD. We have 13 albums! Some were sent to my dad for free when he wrote asking to purchase what he didn't own so he could play them on his Sunday afternoon radio program. Through the years I never forgot this group. I haven't had a record player in years and just got one today. Dad is now 89 and getting choked up at the memories as we are listening to a few of the albums. Thanks for all the memories!! 6. I'm very proud to say they are my cousins. Sadly we have lost 3 of the members, Henrietta, Scott, and just a few days ago Dale.
