Epley's "sound" is interesting. His voice is unique and his use of back ground singers creates a "light" 70s AM radio "soul" vibe.
Epley himself was a character and you might want to read this article which includes a note that his "faith healing" was debunked by James Randi in his book "The Faith Healers" and that Epley was "followed for years" by mail fraud allegations.
